A subscriber contacted me about things to do in Bratislava so I shared these tips outlined below. He had an awesome trip and while neither of us encountered many Black people, we had a great experience and definitely recommend visiting. I was surprised by the grafitti art, adding an urban vibe. Things To Do in Bratislava

We took an awesome FREE walking tour, learned Slovak greetings, had lunch at a traditional Slovak pub, and tried traditional dishes. We learned intriguing facts and Slovak traditions.

We had the most delicious dessert at the cutest cafe.

Slovak Language

There’s also a few ways to pronounce Bratislava depending on where you’re located. Hungarians say it differently than the Slovak language. The ticket lady in Budapest corrected my pronunciation a few times; thus, I started saying it her way. In Bratislava, I asked our tour guide how to pronounce the city and she agreed, I could pronounce it like the Hungarian lady. Surely, a native would know. Maybe she was being nice to the tourist because I have since been corrected. It is pronounced: Brat-e-slava. The joys of traveling the world, you live and learn and have fun during the adventure.
