12 Cool Things To Do In Barcelona
Table of Contents
Metro
Get a metro pass for the number of days you’re in the city and prepare to do cool things in Barcelona. The pass allows you to ride all over the city on the metro or bus. The metro is clean and spacious, the train cars are bigger than Amtrak. While on vacation we travel like locals riding the bus and metro from the airport into center city.

Free Walking Tours Barcelona
We had a fantastic walking tour of the Gothic Quarter with Free Walking Tours Barcelona. A maze of beautiful churches, history, apartments, shops, restaurants, tucked away in its own world. Although the tour is free, be sure to tip your guide at the end of the tour.
Casa Batllo
Sagrada Familia
When visiting Sagrada Familia stop by Xurreria across the street for a bag of delicious homemade potato chips!
Park Guell
Gaudi’s Park Guell gives you a wonderful view of the city!
La Ramblas
Boqueria
La Boqueria Merkat was a savory sensation of fresh fruit, juice, fish, gelato and veggies.
Due to the pouring rain we couldn’t go to Tibidabo or Montjuic but we still explored the city and found the cutest cafe for dinner!
Churros and Chocolate
Montserrat
There was a rainstorm the day we planned to visit Montserrat; thus, we had to postpone the visit to the mountains. Part of the trip required riding the cable car to see the Black Madonna and that wasn’t prudent in the rain. The next time I’m in Barcelona, I’ll take a day trip to Montserrat.
Arc de Triomf
Dancing in the Streets
When traveling I like to explore the neighborhoods, immerse in the culture, and eat local cuisine. This video shares highlights of Barcelona and Lisbon, visiting two countries for the price of one. Travel from Barcelona to Lisbon was under $100.00. Two beautiful cities with its own uniqueness. See the amazing architecture designs of Antoni Gaudí in Barcelona and tour 900 year old Alfama in Lisbon along the Tagus River.
Check out the lady in the video dancing in front of the Cathedral like no one is watching!
