Adams Morgan Walking Tour
Adams Morgan is the hippest, multicultural neighborhood in Washington, DC. People are social distancing so the streets are calm. This walking tour is the quiet side of an extremely vibrant, eclectic district bustling with international restaurants and unique shops. You come here to enjoy live music, ethnic foods, bars, and DC’s nightlife.

The Adams Morgan Heritage Trail Historical Markers will guide you through the history of the neighborhood. Adams Morgan is derived from the names of two formerly segregated area elementary schools—the older, all-black Thomas P. Morgan Elementary School and the all-white John Quincy Adams Elementary School. The Adams-Morgan Community Council, comprising both Adams and Morgan schools and the neighborhoods they served, formed in 1958 to progressively implement the desegregation ruling.
Check out the unique architecture design of the neighborhood.
Adams Morgan Streatery
Washington, DC’s first Streatery happened in the historic Adams Morgan neighborhood. DC is in Phase 2 and restaurants and shops have reopened. Streatery is a pilot program that blocks the street to create a pedestrian zone so restaurants can extend their dining space. It’s a great way to stimulate the economy and revitalize the community during this time.
The Crush Funk BrassBand started the party with DC GOGO and had the crowd going wild dancing in streets. Dining in the streets with a live band is fun and festive!
