The LINE Hotel: Staycation at 110-Year Old Historic Church

It’s been a hectic year-and-a-half working from home, and I felt trapped in my own home. Thus, needed a break and took a staycation at The LINE Hotel in Washington, DC, a 110-year old historic church in the heart of Adams Morgan. The hotel is modern with an eclectic, stylish decor and panoramic views of the city. There’s a community radio station broadcasting live from the lobby. Ornate brass detailing and 60-foot vaulted ceilings maintains the historic features.

Cool & Hip

During my two night stay, my room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. I love the antique fixtures and complimentary eco-friendly water. Although I wasn’t there to work, the desk is a perfect workstation. My room was equipped with a fully stocked minibar; however, it didn’t have a refrigerator. Even without a refrigerator, the room was very lovely and relaxing. After a soothing shower and body rub with Kiehls Creme de Corps Body Lotion with Cocoa Butter, it was pure bliss.

Adams Morgan is a bustling neighborhood yet I didn’t hear street noise from my room. The hotel has a rooftop, 24-Hour fitness center, free WiFi, and on-site parking and valet. It’s also pet friendly.

Soothing waterfall shower.

No Good Byes

The hotel has a restaurant, two bars, and coffee shop and is a great place for remote work, meet up, or dining. Relax on the patio and enjoy the neighborhood sights. You’ll always see something interesting or entertaining.

Shout-out to the wonderful staff for their exceptional customer service and hospitality. They made sure I was comfortable throughout my staycation, allowing me to move to a different room away from the stairs.

I’ve heard about this hotel but haven’t been there – since I live locally. Now you’ve planted this fun StayCation idea and you’ve started me thinking along those lines. I’ll start with the links on your site when I decide to plan my fun weekend. Thanks a bunch.
