King Street Oyster Bar $1 Oysters & Bangin’ Happy Hour

I love a great happy hour and King Street Oyster Bar has one of the best in the city. It’s been awhile since I’ve eaten oysters so I was excited to try this new spot. The space and ambiance are perfect for fellowship and meeting new people.

Bangin’ Happy Hour 

First, let’s talk about the fantastic happy hour food and drink specials from 3:00 – 7:00pm everyday. Oysters are $1.00, wine and cocktails, and appetizers are $7.00. That’s half price and a steal in DC. I started off with the Froze All Day and oysters on the half shell. The drink was tasty and oysters with hot sauce were delicious. I’m addicted to raw oysters now. 

We ordered the crab cakes, salmon B.L.T. sliders, crispy calamari, King Street wings, and the fried oyster platter. Everything tasted scrumptious but those King Street wings were bangin’. I love hot wings and they passed the cooked just right test. I tried the House Punch but Froze All Day had a better flavor of spirits.

Good Vibes  

King Street Oyster Bar radiates good vibes! It’s intimate but spacious with a hip bar, patio, and communal seating. We didn’t feel crowded next to the other tables, and it’s an awesome place to meet people. The decor was bright and nautical, and the service was good. 

We enjoyed ourselves and were able to laugh, celebrate, and reminisce over yummy food. Cheers to the good times!
